Sick!!

Hi, hoping I might get some suggestions. Someone was sick in our house, over the sofa and rug. The rug has cleaned ok and the sofa to an extent as it is leather. The problem I have is that it has gone down the side of the seat cushion and the arm on to the hidden part of the sofa which is fabric. Because it is leather, the seat cushions are attached and the gap between the cushions and the arms is very tight so it cannot be ventilated. Any suggestions as I have tried washing it, detol and opening the gap as much as I can to air it. It stinks and driving my mad. Please, anyone got any suggestions?

Could you put some baking soda down there, leave it for a few days then vacuum it out?

How long would I need to leave in there before I hoovered it out?

I'm not entirely sure, maybe have a Google, I'd personally leave it 2 or 3 days.

I'd also get a toothbrush in there with some biological wash liquid diluted in warm water and scrub it. It'll break down any enzymes that might make a stink linger
