Fucking flies

We have so so many. I’m not kidding. They are buzzing round my head now; you’d be forgiven for thinking that we had many decaying bodies in the house. We’ve got a fly killer in the kitchen, doesn’t work! Help!

live just started using clove oil, they hate it.

We got fly screens. I’ve never understood why we don’t generally use them here.

I just light a citronella candle - it seems to work!

We have a Venus Fly Trap, which does kill them, but rather unappetisingly, once the plant has sucked the juice out of the fly, the leaves open again with the corpse on display. I had hoped the bodies would just dissolve.

We have the same issue - drives me insane. I've put fly screens up this weekend - on the doors that we generally keep open in the summer (back door and conservatory) and small ones on the windows we generally open and its made a world of difference!

I’ve bought an extendable pole and a cheap voile from Dunelm. About £11 for both. Now if I have the back door open I hang that up in the recess. Works a treat!

I saw someone sticking cloves into half a lemon to deter them

I’m the same on constant hoover with my small hand held in the conservatory it drives me nuts
