So I've never used it, but I keep seeing it recommend here. Why? I'm gathering that it smells nice? Which scents do you rate? How are you using it? Will it improve my life?

No it’s awful. Gives me a headache.

Shesellsseashellsnotinmystreet · 20/06/2025 08:55

Cleaner here... Most of my customers love it. There are some fab fragrances to choose from.

A few are a bit ott but soen are amazing.

Saltedcarameltiramisucheesecake · 20/06/2025 09:09

It's highly scented disinfectant. Smells artificial and cloying, to cover up nasty smells.
Like deodorant for your home. 🤷‍♀️

ANiceBigCupOfTea · 20/06/2025 09:13

I love zoflora midnight blooms. It smells like a floral perfume

endzone · 20/06/2025 09:18

It’s horrible, I like a clean smell, not overpowering florals like old ladies perfume

Rookie93 · 20/06/2025 09:28

Love it, used to use it on the communal stairs when it was my turn to wash them down. Made a stinky old hallway smell beautiful for a day or so and pleasant to walk into. Can be overpowering if the concentration is too strong though.

I only like the linen fresh one. The others smell terrible

Justonemorecoffeeplease · 20/06/2025 09:31

I like the cinnamon one. As others say I dilute mine otherwise it can be very cloying.

This is my favourite smell too, and they now sell the candle wax melts and crystals which are lovely!

GoodVibesHere · 20/06/2025 09:38

The linen fresh one is lovely

+3 for Linen fresh 🙂

ninjahamster · 20/06/2025 09:45

I like the lemon one.

Katypp · 20/06/2025 09:48

Zoflora is one if those MN things OP.
Many posters are far too tasteful to use something readily available that anyone can buy. They need to use something exclusive or it will give them the headache that is only caused by inexpensive things.
See also Yankee Candles, Bayliss an Harding, Lush etc

Whitehorses67 · 20/06/2025 09:53

I was reading an article about indoor air pollution yesterday.
I think strong scents like this can’t be good for humans or pets.

  • 4, also like springtime

it’s a disinfectant: I use it in laundry (sheets & towels for an Airbnb) and for disinfecting things when needed

You can also dilute & use it for damp dusting of eg skirting boards but that’s more for the smell

haha - I don’t use it because it’s shit imo. I use other, readily available products instead. The headache is related to the strong fragrance, so lush et all do the same thing.

Seamoss · 20/06/2025 11:16

Linen fresh it is! Will pick some up and damp dust skirting boards and mop with it. I've seen people say they put a splash in the bottom of the kitchen bin too

Dilute it a LOT - like 1 tsp in a 750ml spray bottle to start with (I’ve never used it neat on surfaces and imagine it might damage some surfaces)

Also, bear in mind disinfectants once diluted stop being effective as disinfectant after a couple of weeks

A pleasant smelling paint stripper if used neat? I'll remember that too for when I touch up the woodwork next😂

The Zoflora spray bottles are good for kitchen/ bathroom. Original stuff is v concentrated.

Instinct1 · 20/06/2025 12:42

The rhubarb one is lovely, but quite hard to get. Iceland usually sells it, weirdly.

dementedpixie · 20/06/2025 12:50

I use it in the fabric conditioner bit of the washing machine for smelly gym kit. You get a multisurface cleaner and some of them smell nice. There was a nice one at Christmas as they have limited edition scents too.

I used it for years before all the fuss about it. In those days disinfectant was mainly pine, occasionally lemon, or, at worst, Jeyes Fluid. having a fresh floral fragrance was superb. Putting it down the sink last thing means you get a lovely fresh kitchen or bathroom next day.
