How to get rid of the smell of Dettol disinfectant

Looking for any tips that will get rid of the stench of Dettol.

DH decanted some into the empty bathroom cleaner bottle which I then picked up and started spraying when cleaning the bathroom.

The bathroom now stinks of it even though I’ve recleaned with another cleaner and it’s been airing for 7 hours. Help!

Get bottle of TCP. Loosen lid. Leave bottle on bathroom windowsill overnight.

I can guarantee that the smell of TCP in your bathroom in the morning will easily overwhelm the smell of Dettol.

I wonder if the lemon theory works in bathrooms, the same as stinky fridges? Chop a huge lemon leave it in there.

Light a match, blow it out. Repreat if necessary. This covers most bathroom smells - whatever the origin.

Can report that it’s Day 2 of Dettol smell 😂 Maybe I’ll try lemons and see if that works. I don’t have any matches. I’m embarrassed as we had guests arrive yesterday staying for a couple of days and this aroma was not what I wanted!
