Well done GO

dylsmum1998 · 21/05/2008 13:50

tort i had a very decayed back tooth last year, the dentist has managed to save mine just by filling, and she applied a coating stuff to it to help prevent further damage.
it did take 2 attempts to fill it tho.
its hard finding someone to have dc for these things tho isnt it. ds was in school when i had mine done and luckily my sis was home from tour so she sat in waiting room playing with dd. our dentist has msn webcam link up round the parctise so i was able to watch dd playing while i had it done.

dylsmum1998 · 21/05/2008 14:01

LOL @ GO well done!! time you sat and rested!!

Ludaloo · 21/05/2008 14:27

Tort I expect it would eat spiders/woodlice that kind of thing, you might find it only comes in for a bit and goes back out again....perhaps it was looking for a dry nesting place?
Someone once told me that what ever gap you can fit a pencil in, a small rodent can generally fit in there too.

Its true....we caught a mouse once, and as we were showing the children, it leapt out of the box and scarpered for the door...and managed to squeeze through the gap at the bottom of the door! We could just about poke a biro through!

You might want to put a bit of apple in the trap....that provides moisture and food and then you might manage to see it alive if you think there might be more.

grouchyoscar · 21/05/2008 14:34

Well I've done 10 mins training on the wii fit. in 5 days I've moved from age 54 to age 38, lost a pound in weight and found out I can't ski, hula or play footy but I'm not bad at yoga and my centre of gravity is good

Should do something constructive

Ludaloo · 21/05/2008 14:35

Or you could maybe put some worms or something in....
If I remember correctly, they have to eat the majority of their body weight daily to stay alive.

although the thought of catching worms doesn't fill me full of joy!

Ludaloo · 21/05/2008 14:36

I'm suffering from a major case of wii fit !

gem1981 · 21/05/2008 15:12

Hello the sun has come out now and we have just come back from a nice play in the park - feeling a little more energetic after tha walk

GO yoga - defo the way to go - not as sweaty as the others {grin]

Luda at your small rodent knowledge

dylsmum good news about your elec bill - estimated bills are a pain in the bum!

right gonna defrost the puff pastry for tea and then maybe do some more cleaning (maybe)

grouchyoscar · 21/05/2008 17:06

Luda you can buy worms from angling supply shops, they come in compost in a little packet and you can tip them into whatever or pick them out 1 by 1 No need to dig your own

Been on a magical mystery tour to get home. We went to the little playground over the wasteground and down a footpath to home. Ed and a friend are watching Playhouse Disney and playing with a heap of kids knex atm

All I have to do is make tomorrow's butties, feed Ed, do writing with him and get his uniform ready.

TheMadHouse · 21/05/2008 17:56

Evening all

Hellish afternoon in the madhouse. My mum bought the boys smarties. Never again. DS2 couldnt nap and DS1 was hyper at preschool and they have been all afternoon. So I bathed them early and they are now playing on the wii - I have a really sore head.

EHM Yes Picolax. Bowels all OK, but a have a large para-oesohoheal hernia and inflammation in the duedemum, so biopsies taken.

PLan for tonight

Room rescue the cons/playroom
Washer on
Dinner for me and DH - crab salad
Package up teddy for friends new baby (unfortunatly back down south)
Bath
Clear out fridge
Menu plan
Shopping list for tomorrow

scattyspice · 21/05/2008 18:34

Hi all.

Froze to death in the park after school. Managed to get reading done with DS while DD was busy. Played in the garden after tea. Now in the bath.

Still noflying done cept laudry and wash up. Still no shouting either so done well.

Hoping to get them into bed by 8 so i can watch Child of our time.

at wii fitters I want one.

dylsmum1998 · 21/05/2008 19:01

thanks for the reminder of tonights tv scatty i always miss some of it cos i forget its on!

just checked ebay and 2 of the 3 things i put on there sold! yay gonna leave the money in paypal until the summer hols. will pay for a few nights camping somewhere for me an dc. so happy!!

luda or tort i forget which let the dc dig for worms, they'll love it

my ds went on a school trip today and was meant to be back at 4 but stuck in traffic so got back at 5! still i got some reading done for my exam and he's had a good day. am at the idiots parents that parked on the zigzag lines outside school so the coaches couldnt park. children had to be let off coach in middle of the road. wouldnt mind but it was only parents of the children on the trip who were there so you'd think they'd find the brains o work out coaches will need to park!!

scattyspice · 21/05/2008 19:14

dyls poor DS. Bet he was starving by the time he got home (and poor teachers too LOL). Do you go camping with your 2 by yourself? (huge admiration if so). We're hoping to go with ours for the first time nxt week (did I just see you on a camping thread?) Wish me luck.

Well I've hoovered (quickly) and shoted . DH gets home late on weds and find it hard to keep up with the demands. DD tends to ask for something and just repeat the request until I oblige, even if I've said'I'll get it when I've done this'. Huge admiration to Tort and Dyls and other single mums.

Ludaloo · 21/05/2008 19:25

Some people just don't have any brains!

Like my neighbour....who has just managed to create a huge tantrum/tears/strop/tears from my DD1, when I had to tell her she couldn't have one of my neighbours cats kittens!
I have made it clear on millions of ocassions to both my neighbour and my DD1 that we are NOT getting a kitten. We have a cat, fish and 2 guinea pigs and that will do! But still my neighbour manages to persuade my DD1 to "keep nagging mummy and I'm sure she'll let you have a kitten"
Her cat is due to have kittens at any moment.

does she not realise the stress she causes by telling my DD1 that??? She knows damned well I don't want one! Does it amuse her to see me have to say no, and DD1 have the biggest cry/tantrum etc!

Do you ever have those days when no matter how hard you try, you don't actually manage to achieve anything.

My house "tidy" has actually turned into a house "take apart"....whilst cleaning the spare room out I started to sort through all the stuff under the bed....and on the wardrobe....then our room, then the bathroom, so I have ended up with stuff all over the place being sorted and the place looks like a bomb site!

Hopefully tomorrow will me more productive!

dylsmum1998 · 21/05/2008 19:36

scatty this will be the first time alone with dc this weekend am excited and nervous all at oncce. my dad in law is very concerned about me being aa target. i overheard him talking to mum inlaw the other evening. i've promised i'll have my phone constantly on and in my pocket. and tried to reassure him as i'm only going local this time. you prob have seen me on camping i often pop there for hints/tips.
good luck i'm sure you'll all love it. my fav bit is peaceful mornings- i'm always awake before everyone else love sitting quietly by myself so peaceful!

Luda poor you an dd. thats really unfair of your neighbour to pressure you and upset your poor dd.
wow you sound busy with a mass de-clutter going on- good luck

Ludaloo · 21/05/2008 19:55

scatty DON'T FEEL BAD FOR SHOUTING! ooooh sorry caps on! By the end of the day I'm just the same. Tonight I had all three asking me for something or another...then DH comes in and asks where the hammer is!? How should I know! but he still keeps asking if I have seen it/have I put it somewhere....dd1 is asking me where the cat toy is, Ds is whining for a biscuit and DD2 is crying because she has spilled her juice on her top (the tiniest bit but the whole top has to come off )
My brain really was going to pop!

The mass de-cluttering is looking like a big mistake at the mo....but I am sure by the end of tomorrow it will be fine....just have to live with the mess until then.

Hello.
Been to the dentists.mouth is feeling sore from being pulled around! Needs root canal or might need to be removed. He was having trouble trying to find the 3rd root of the tooth. Put some special sort of stuff in for now.
Am feeling very tired and drained now. DD's just going to bed. Bit late because i had to pick them u from friends and then do tea.

DS's are watching the football (Yawn).

Luda @ your neighbours. Mine are inconciderate twunts! Got home to see their bonfire smoke covering my clean, dry washing. Why can't they wait until later in the eve. Have this trouble every summer with them. They are oldies so should know better!

BiancaCastafiore · 21/05/2008 20:06

Evening

I've had an unexpected extra day at work after a member of staff seems to have gone AWOL

Have skimmed the thread but don't remember much

FGS Hope poor cat is OK
Scatty we all have days when we shout (I have plenty), don't be too hard on yourself x
Tort did you make it back to the dentist? I'd save the tooth if I could, extractions come with their own problems..
Luda at your neighbour re the kitten!
erm...can't remember much else...except Grouchy doing nothing

I'm hoping for some time tomorrow to continue with my sort out from yesterday but can't see it happening - I'm fully expecting to be called back into work

Better go and get the kitchen tidy. Back later, maybe x

BiancaCastafiore · 21/05/2008 20:07

x posts Tort ouch!

Jas · 21/05/2008 20:21

Evening all

I've had a busy day, with very little FLYing. DP has been digging up concrete outside the back of the house, so I've been out as much as possible.

I've spent the past hour hoovering andsweeping up dust, but am not going to make a huge effort as he'll be doing it again tomorrow.

I've read the thread but there is too much to remember, except

Grouchy really did rest today
Torts tooth
Luda has inconsiderate neighbours
Rubys dds are trying their mother's patience to the limits.
Lots of trying not to shout.

We have heard from Dame and she is in hosp as the baby is still doing acrobatics and won't stay head down....next time we see her she may well be a mum of 4!

BiancaCastafiore · 21/05/2008 20:23

I missed news on Dame, is she OK? I didn't think she was due just yet....
