DH is a fab cook but a little messy with it - too many clothes have grease/oil stains - what can I do?
My usual detergent doesnt shift it or Vanish spray - what is the answer (or the clothes recycling bin will be filled ASAP!)
Many thanks

I put on a teeny tiny dab of washing up liquid straight onto the stain then chuck in the washing machine. Then buy him an apron!

Yep was going to say fairy liquid straight on stain before washing too!

Greasy stains are the worst for us as well. After a Which? report on stain removers we went out and bought some Biotex stain remover (which goes in the wash with the soap powder) and some Dylon stain remover specifically for greasy stains.

Dp had a top which had some unidentified greasy stains all over it and they all came out after treating with the Dylon - even though we'd left it for a while before treating.

I do, however, have some of ds1's t-shirts which are still stained after using the Dylon so I shall be trying the Biotex on them today.

Thanks all for your help - he does have an apron - but still manages to get stuff everywhere - self confessed mucky pup!

put talc on the stains (even old ones) it absorbs the grease - or something like that, it really does work.

I alwasy use the Vanish Oxy-gel stuff in a pink bottle - that works brilliantly !
