Washing powder as shake and vac…

I find shake and vac a bit over powering.. can you use a sprinkle of laundry washing powder in the same way?
wondering as I know I like the smell of that 🤔

Not sure about washing powder but you can use bicarb of soda as a deodoriser vacuum powder.

No, it has all sorts of cleaning agents that will ruin your carpet.

I don't use it as a shake n vac alternative but I do put a bit in the hoover bag so it makes the room smell nice when I hoover. I have thought about getting some of those in wash scent boosters to try to see if they do the same thing but they are crazy expensive

I sprinkle talc and put a couple of drops of essential oil on the filter in my hoover.
