Cleaning a nursing pillow help!

I have a nursing pillow that needs to be cleaned. Its not extremely dirty just needs a quick clean for my own mind before I use it. Ive noticed today the zip on the back is stuck so I can't take the cover off and need it clean asap as my due date is tomorrow so can be any time. Until I figure out a way to get it out, will wiping it down with a multisurface wipe do the job at killing any bacteria? Thankyou

Is it something you can buy a new cover for so can break the existing zip? If not, I’d be tempted to stick the whole thing in the machine, there’s no need to wash them separately other than it’s convenient to just change the cover when it’s relatively new.
I’d not use it without washing the actual pillow if it’s a bit old & from previous child due to them being able to harbour bacteria.
All the best with your impending labour!

If it's a feather pillow, wash it at 60°C on a gently cycle, using detergent suitable for natural fibres such as wool and silk. Then dry it very thoroughly in a tumble dryer, and put it in the airing cupboard until you need it.

Feather-stuffed pillows, duvets etc wash surprisingly well but you do need to make sure they're completely dry.
