Food storage - preventing the carnage cupboard

We have a cupboard that’s an absolute disaster zone of mixed lids and boxes. That are slightly different shapes so not interchangeable. That don’t stack, so take up a totally ridiculous amount of space.

Has anyone found the nirvana of boxes that:
Nest properly when not in use.
Stack sensibly when in use.
Seal well enough to use for sloppy stuff to be carried slightly wonky to / from the fridge (doesn’t need to be upside down in a bag all day proof).

I’m ok with lids not nesting. Also ok with different sizes not nesting and having different lids. If such a thing exists I’ll buy 8 in each size and bin everything else from the cupboard, and save my sanity.

I do not. Repeat. Do. Not. Want the ones where 6 different sizes nest inside each other like some hellish Russian doll take on Tupperware.

Help. Please.

I use these and they are great: https://www.lakeland.co.uk/search/Stack%2Ba%2Bboxes%26_gl%3D11xkb1we_upMQ.._gs*MQ..%26gclid%3DCj0KCQjw2ZfABhDBARIsAHFTxGyqMuL33ngUfrnbcylsieCUdni_EMuQQ9HtNJKDbCSAKSah8UUz9gMaAlm3EALw_wcB%26gbraid%3D0AAAAADtoD6MzJFhAJfO1v-e43n_kWalcM . They nest when empty and stack when full plus the lids are the same size so can be used interchangeably. I wouldn’t risk soup in my handbag in one but they don’t leak in the freezer or fridge.

I have Ikea ones, the cheap 3 for 99p plastic ones. They all match, I donated all the full sets I could find and threw away the non matching sets (sorry!!)

However now we have more kitchen cupboard space I have embraced the madness of storing them with lids on. It's great. It takes up more space but you never have to search for a lid.

Takeaway containers here too. They fit all your criteria. Also brilliant for weighing baking ingredients as they weigh a standard 20g.

I try to decant out of them for microwaving.

If you want proper tupperware style then Ikea are good

Echo the previous two posters saying the Lakeland boxes with the square coloured lids. I have 3 different sizes, the lids are interchangeable and all stackable. No leaks here.
