Washing line

Has anyone else used buckets and concrete to create a washing line? Our garden is concreted for the minute but I need a proper line. I've seen people online use buckets and concrete to put up fairy lights. Wondered if more heavy duty poles might work for a washing line

We’ve tried something similar for our wash line and it’s worked a treat! We have a very exposed garden so we went for two old tires stacked then filled with concrete and a 4by4 fence post. Granted it’s not the most aesthetically pleasing but a lick of paint would fix that. We filled the tires to the very top to make sure water didn’t sit at the bottom of the post to make them last longer.

It will work but beware when drying larger items (towels, bedsheets etc) in anything other than the lightest breeze.
Too much and even concrete filled buckets will topple over, especially if your garden is exposed.
