Hi I’ve got a Brabantia pedal bin 30litre that has suddenly stopped closing. It closes up to a point but not fully then you have to push it down the rest of the way which sort of defeats the purpose. I got this as a replacement( after a lot of hassle with Brabantia) in 2022 after one we had for three years broke. But there is a dent in the lid where someone had possibly rested something on it (I have a cleaner) so I think that if I go back to them again they will say this is the issue, I know it isn’t as it’s been working fine with the dent. We have sprayed it with WD40 on the mechanism at hinge and inside at bottom of the bin. Anyone got any ideas please? The first Brabantia bin I bought 25 years ago didn’t even break, we only replaced it to match the kitchen! Really wish I had held on to that one as I don’t think quality is the same now. Also interested what other peoples experience of Brabantia customer service has been like.
