Washing electric throw

My throw says you can wash it at 30 degrees. Has anyone washed their throw? I don't understand how you can put something electric in the washing machine.

I washed one that was scruffy. I carefully wrapped the plug point with duct tape and then put on a gentle wash. Then tumble dried. I wasn't hopeful, but it still works fine. I couldn't have left it, the kids had got chocolate and all sorts of grubby marks all over it.😀

I always wash ours, take the plug and wire off and wash it. I don't machine dry it, I air dry it.

Yes, the plug and wire detach but there's the attachment for the plug. I'm assuming that's waterproof.

We wash ours without sealing the connector, don't tumble dry them though.

Throw has been washed and is currently drying. Let's hope I haven't damaged it.

Our has been washed a few times. Just make sure it's fully dry before plugging it in.
