Greasy 'shiny' upholstered chair arms, how to clean?

My home office chair gets a lot of use and the arm-sides of it are tight upholstered, every time I sit down I grab the sides, so now the fabric is all 'shiny' and horrible. I've tried calling steam cleaner firms but they won't come out just for one chair.

Looking for a recommended upholstery cleaning product, there are so many out there.

I have used WD40 on "greasy" arms. It sounds counter-intuitive but it did work. Do a test patch first.

That is very very counter-intuitive but I'll try as I have a can of WD40...

Bumping this - can anyone else recommend a good upholstery cleaning product?
