The carpet isn't old, and it isn't really dirty generally- I use a lot of that Dr Beckmann stuff when necessary! But there is one area where toddler DC tends to stand that seems to be a lot darker and more matted than the rest. I'm wondering whether it's a lot to do with me over-cleaning it with too wet a solution one time, and it becoming dark because I didn't dry it sufficiently.
Any tips or tricks? My gut says to scub it with a hard-bristled brush and some soap/detergent, but I'm scared of getting it too wet in case it gets even darker...
