Sadly I have no lawn to try out the lovely lady from bake off's method of some kind of pre dawn dew soaking
I ideally need one with a bag I think as the astonish paste hasn't touched the small bits of gunk on the racks. The inside of the over is coming clean with just bicarbonate so we aren't totally minging (clutching at straws ?!!)
Anyone had a good one of late that I could get on Amazon as I'm not driving right now. Thank you 🙏

Do you have a dishwasher? Mines has a rack setting and they come out all sparkling clean. Before this, I put them in hot water with washing up liquid for a few minutes and cleaned them with one of those brillo cleaning soap pads. Everything came off with no scrubbing/hard work.

Actually Brillo pads were something I'd not thought of
I do have a dishwasher but not sure they'd fit. I'll have to google
Thank you

If they fit in the dishwasher, even if it doesn’t have a rack setting (none of mine have ever had this), the heat of the water and steam should soften any caked on grime enough so that it comes off easily with some wire wool or a Brillo pad if you tackle them whilst still warm from the wash cycle.

If they don’t fit in the dishwasher, I suspect soaking them in boiling water in the bath with a dishwasher tablet until the water cools to lukewarm and then scrubbing with wire wool would also work though I haven’t tried this myself
