Hoover for small house

Very boring question, we've had the same Miele cylinder cleaner for over 20 years. It has finally died. Our house is not large, three beds, one large living/dining room downstairs and kitchen. We have a cat.

If you've bought a hoover recently, would you recommend it?

Not a recent buy, but I adore my corded shark rocket. It’s a stick hoover with lots of attachments and adaptive. It’s light, powerful, easy to empty and clean. Never loses suction or smells. Way better than my cordless Dyson or the upright Dyson ball hoovers. (I’m a professional cleaner and the shark blows all thise at use at work out of the water).

Thanks @Alphabet1spaghetti2 I shall look at that one. DH has come home from visit to his mum's with a huge and ugly Dyson which she's getting rid of. I just want something light and small!

I have a cordless recharable Shark and I swear by it. I dont have pets - but have long hair and the hair does not tangle up in it. I have a large 3-bed and it just about has enough charge to do a quick whip round. If you do a more thorough job you may need to recharge halfway though (i tend to hoover upstairs and downstairs on different days when "deep cleaning"

I've got a Henry. Best vacuum cleaner I've ever had.

I have a Dyson V7 and love it. I have LVT not carpet throughput though

I adore my 16 years old sebo. It's upright so easy to store but it's not light. The suction is amazing and a proper work horse.
. I recently bought a handheld gtech which is fab for quickness and stairs
I have read good things about there more standard hoover and it's small and light.

Just bought a new dyson upright ball after my last one died after many years.

I like it a lot. It picks up much better but does feel heavy when using despite switching the floor settings correctly. It fully stretches to hoover the stairs which is a bonus for me.

I do set it as a workout on my watch when I hoover downstairs 😂
