Dry zoflora mop then used bleach.

I mopped my kitchen floor with diluted bleach today, but I’d previously used the mop with Zoflora (diluted in a bunch of water)

I’ve googled it and there’s a big don’t mix with bleach rule and now I’m worried I’ve made a toxic gas 😅

how likely is it that my dry zoflora mop in my bleach will affect me? 😩 I only mopped half the floor then realised tipped it away and just finished off with hot water in a panic 😂😂

You’ll be fine, if it’s not caused a problem by now chances are your grand!

GabbySolisX · 12/03/2025 10:23

Do you mean straight after? Just air out the room you’ll be fine.

ChronicallyOnLime · 12/03/2025 10:24

No a couple weeks ago I used zoflora, then today I used bleach but I haven’t used this mop since using zoflora with it

Won't anything that might cause a harmful chemical reaction have evaporated by now then? It can't hang around forever or we'd all be washing our mops endlessly.

ChronicallyOnLime · 12/03/2025 10:29

That’s what I thought, and hoped.. I was sure how it worked in that if I rewet it does it reactivate?!😂 I’m a chronic worrier and hate using chemicals anyway, bleach and zoflora are my only two safe household cleaners I’ll use.. obviously not together! 😂

It should be fine. Do you rinse the mop after use? If so, the chemicals won’t still be on the mop.

Coffeeishot · 12/03/2025 10:33

If its diluted it's fine nothing will happen, you really should be rinsing your mop because germs!

ChronicallyOnLime · 12/03/2025 10:35

I only rinse the mop in the solution then let it dry so no I don’t rinse it in fresh water afterwards 😩
