How do you use Ocado reserved ?

Sorry for the stupid question ….

I know how to do an online shop. Does anyone use the ‘Ocado reserved’ feature? You can set the weekly/ fortnightly delivery slot and then Ocado uses the items in your ‘instant shop’ to create that order for you each week. That’s fine but I can’t seem to remove anything from my instant shop.

Does anyone else have this set up and how do you make it work for you?

Any other expert tips to make the weekly shop as efficient as possible?

thank you!

I use Ocado reserved. I have the same slot every week and Ocado places the order a few weeks in advance with the things it thinks I usually buy. It's a bit random how it does this, as sometimes things I've bought once get put in the shop whereas things I buy regularly are always missed out so I'm not sure what algorithm it's using. Then a day or two before I just edit the order, remove what don't want and add in anything extra.
I'm sure there should be a way to change the list of products that are being added in automatically but I haven't worked out how- this post has made me realise I should look into it!

I've just logged it to look and under Ocado reserved there's something that says "your suggested order" and has a frequency of always / sometimes / never for each suggested item, which you can change. Going to update my suggested order now, thanks for prompting me to sort it out 😂

I’ll continue looking for it, thank you for the reply. The trouble is that I haven’t used Ocado for a long time so the suggested order still includes e.g loads of Diet Coke (which I not longer drink), baby formula, baby ouches etc.

As I’m trying to set it up for the first time, it is automatically adding everything and attempting to charge me £130, but I would really prefer to keep the value much lower. I guess I could authorise it now and hope that I will still get the chance to amend the ‘suggested order’… but what if they just send it all out and I have technically approved it.

Not sure if all that makes sense…?

Ok I’ve just gone ahead and submitted the card details and it all seems fine. I don’t think it’s going to send me all the stuff I don’t need. But it is saying the first order will be sent in 30 days! Seems a bit long! Does anyone else recall how this worked for them when the initially set up the ‘Reserved’ feature?

I'm sure you'll still be able to amend it - I can always edit until the day before. For a morning / early afternoon order you can edit until about 5.25pm the day before and for a late afternoon or evening slot you can edit until 11.50pm the night before.

I usually use the app but have just gone onto the website and can change my list of favourite items there.
