I live 80% of my time in the back portion of my house. It has a cheaper sofa in it and is the warmest part of the house and includes my kitchen. My dog lives in this area. Occasionally I let him have a rummage around the rest of the house when I can keep an eye on him , because he CANNOT be trusted!!! He is an absolute rascal. But I love love love him ❤️ there is only me and him at home.
He has a dog bed in the back of the house but is allowed up on the chairs and sofa, which is usually his preference. I cover them with blankets which get swapped out and cleaned every few days ...but still there is a bit of a dog whiff which I have decided is a mixture of rug and/or sofa. I have a rug doctor but don't know that soaking the sofa too much will help, potentially making the whiff worse.
How do others manage to clean their sofas?. I have seen the saucepan lid method but I'm a bit sceptical as to its effectiveness.
