Recycling mess!

Our home recycling situation is a mess

We have a general waste bin and don't want to buy another for recycling.
Currently my husband piles it up by the back door - which I hate!!

Our recycling is cardboard in one and everything else in another.

Any smart ideas on how best to keep on top of it? I am hating the mess!

We have 2 bins - 1 for recycling and 1 for general waste and then there's a cardboard box to collect the card/paper recycling near the back door. If you want it to look better you need a container whether that's a bin or a box or a bag

It's tricky if you don't want to buy another bin. You could replace your existing bin with a sectioned one.

Other options - understairs cupboard, garage if you have one attached, sacrifice a kitchen cupboard and retrofit sectional bins (eg IKEA - they are not too tall and fit under our butler sink). For cardboard you could keep a bag for life on a high hook on the back of a door. Our glass box just lives outside our back door in the open.

We have two boxes under the stairs, one for glass / plastic and one for paper. You need bins / containers for the recycling.
