Anyone with a Neff oven with pyrolitic cleaning - have you left the shelves in?

Just that really - I have always taken the shelves and supports out and cleaned them in ovenpride bags which does a good job, but wondered if anyone has left them in? It says in the manual 'may cause discolouration' so I've not been brave enough to try it but maybe I'm missing a trick?

I leave mine in, because I'm a lazy arse. They do discolour a bit, but then return to their normal colour through normal usage.
