Replacement dyson battery

I’ve had my dyson for approximately 6 years and have already had a replacement battery while under warranty. The battery life has now deteriorated down to about 30 seconds and I don’t know wether to get another battery or just give up on it in case this doesn’t work.
has anyone had a similar issue?
I can’t afford a full replacement.

If its a cordless vacuum I got a replacement battery and it's going great years later.

Pretty sure you can get cheaper generic batteries if you search your model on ebay/amazon.

Incidentally mine is always plugged in when I'm not using it. I think this is how it's supposed to be with the charging station it comes with. Leaving it uncharged or letting it drain between charges might shorten the life.

Check the boost button isn't pressed... I have had a dyson battery replacement as well and my ancient cordless is still going well !

I'm wondering this OP! What flavour is yours? I think mine is the V6 Absolute. I love it because it's lightweight enough for my pathetic arm strengh, a pretty colour and (used to) have the perfect battery life of 10 minutes on full power before it needed recharging and I had an excuse to sit down with my laptop again! None of their current range tick all those boxes!

Ours used to last 15 seconds. We bought a cheap Amazon battery for our handheld Dyson, and it’s working well like when we first bought it! Also the battery was £20ish on Amazon rather than £££ for the official Dyson one

Can definitely recommend new battery from Amazon... or e bay works on full power for ages. Worked well for 4 years.

Also clean the filters regularly and buy new ones with the battery .

We buy a cheap replacement battery from Amazon for our ancient Dyson every couple of years.

I bought a replacement battery from e bay and so far it’s lasted twice as long as the offical Dyson battery.

I had the same issue and ended up going for a third-party option that worked just fine. It lasted as long as the original, and the price was way better. Also, I double-checked with a multimeter I had for a 9v battery just to be sure the old Dyson one was actually dead before ordering a new one. Some of the official ones are way overpriced.
