My kitchen looks great. I cleared the 2 hotspots and just shined my sink for the first time is ages. All worktops are cleared, and this is all AFTER the girls have had dinner. As DH is away it should stay that way for a bit too

Tomorrow I plan to try and do the same with the living room

Evening All

We are now all tucked up inside, as it has got cold outside.

We have done loads in the garden adn had a nice day ended with a BBQ witi my mum (although I had to collect her and drop her off). I am keeping her sweet as she is coming to look after the boys twice next week for my consultants appointments

We have planted runner beans, carrots (found the pack), spring onions too

In fact I have so many pots DH is going to find the time to make me some raised beds

He has layed half a path

We have planted a rose, its a rambler for our back fence.

I have to pot up the hanging baskets tomorrow, we have all the plants but the winter/spring stuff still looks OK

Anyhow plans for tomorrow is

DH to change his breakpads
Pic nic and afternoon out
Back to do more gardening
SUnday evening routine

Morning stuff done

Ludaloo · 11/05/2008 09:01

Morning all

I have woken with a migraine I have been getting lots of them lately. Luckily I have a new prescription tablet that takes the worst away.

FGS Hurrah for the clean kitchen!! I could do with mine staying clean!

Dylsmum my feet still hurt!! They are getting better though thanks

Ruby my email address is ludaloo @ lycos dot com. Mail me, and I'll mail you back my address Thank you

Well I have finally managed to save a little bit of money to buy the kids some new clothes. They all need summer stuff. DD1 is the most needy, she doesn't have even one pair of shorts, and she only has two pairs of trousers, one of which are so big we have to roll the tops over....then she has two t-shirts and a few long sleeve tops, but the sleeves are half way up her arm and fit DD2 better than they fit her! poor lamb! we have had to rotate the three full outfits she has all winter, and now the summer is here she has absolutely nothing!
The other two are ok as they have a lot of hand me downs.
So my mission for today is to spend some cash!

Just hoping no one is sick, as dh has gone to work so can't stay at home with them while I go.

morning
i'm off to buy dd some sandals today. she worre her trainers all day the other day and her feet stank lol
they are all she has to go with her shorts, her shoes just dont look right.
then we're off to nanny and grandads for dinner.
assuming ds behaves as i will just bring him home again like i did last night
not sure what else to do to stop his behaviour ,although was seriously tempted to slap him yesterday he was that bad. very unlike me i dont smack. think he realised he'd pushed me too far as he got in the car and was quiet for ages and then said sorry. not been too bad since so fingers crossed my thunder face worked!

i've done loads this morning have tidied and hoovered, washed up, we've all had breakfast. have stripped te dc beds and remade them. last load in washer now. and i stood and did 2 hours of ironing. so i now have no ironing pile .

tortoise · 11/05/2008 11:20

Morning all.
Trying to tidy more today. Have a massive pile of washing to put away too.

Found small droppings behind DW and cooker also under small table in the front room. What is the best thing to do?

Also printing out invitations for DD1's party. Left it a bit late really but hey thats me all over!!

FunkyGlassSlipper · 11/05/2008 11:31

Tort - try and find the source - we had a small hole under out stairs cupboard. Mice had chewed one of my hessian bags and we found more droppings. This was only after we had gone mad at the cat for bringing in his 10th mouse - and all the time hed beeen catching them from inside. If you can find where they are coming from then you can block the hole.

tortoise · 11/05/2008 12:31

Thanks FGS. Found more droppings under WM and TD. Will look under fridge and freezer too. Not sure where it is hiding! Hopefully it came in and went out again! There are a few gaps where pipes come in like where xp put the outside tap in! Should i get pest control in? Do they spread disease like rats?

RR. I think the dog would eat it! He has been sniffing round actually.

FunkyGlassSlipper · 11/05/2008 12:41

You can call the council pest control. Not sure if they do it for free or charge but they will be able to tell you. Our cat dealt with ours.

grouchyoscar · 11/05/2008 14:43

Hello ALL

Many thanks for the congrats to Ed, he's well proud of himself and was so chuffed that the 'Cars Fairy' had been to leave him Dusty and Rusty Rusteeze and Mia and Tia

Was unable to get on yesterday, internet access issues sadly ( I felt like I'd had a part of me lobbed off, no net, no MSN, no eBay, no E-mails nothing, what the hell did I do before Broadband and a Laptop?)

I hve been busyish, Yesterday I clean downstairs, mopped the bathroom, stripped and remade our bed. Today I'v e repositioned the greenhouses, re-organised the patio area, prunned shrubs, swept the patio and garden, repaired the wobbly greenhouse, hung out washing and done a huge pile of ironing in the garden.

To Do

Writing with Ed
Talk DH into a barbeque
Clothes out for morning
Lunchboxes for morning
Water tubs
Put ironing away

It's just lovely and sunny here, I hope this keeps up for the summer

TheMadHouse · 11/05/2008 15:16

Afternoon ladies

We have just got back in from a lovley picnic on the N York moors. It was great DH took the boys on a walk and I read my book in the sun.

There is still sea mist here and it is a full 12 degrees cooler.

I am going to crack on with the ironing next and then sort the stuff for tomorrow

Later Fly Dudettes
