Our very old Dyson is nearly dead.

What would you advise to replace it if we like this style?

Sharks seem very popular.

The Dyson ball gets quite bad reviews.

Would really appreciate any advice.

We have a lot of long haired humans (not dogs) to contend with and every floor surface type.

Hoover advice please!

Sharks are a bit shit really
My old corded miele works better at picking up hair than my shark cordless

Thanks! The reviews for the mieles are amazing

Most cleaners seem to recommend a Henry. We have one and are very happy with it.

We have Miele corded and Shark cordless and lots of long hair (mine). I use the Shark as I find the cords rather cumbersome, but the Miele (which DH uses) is I'm sure a better hoover that will last for years. I just find the Shark makes hoovering feel like less of a chore in my busy life.

I love my cordless shark but I also have this one which both DH & I think is better, it's not cordless but it does a cracking job

I have a Dyson ball (upright, corded) and love it. I don't understand the bad reviews, our experience is very positive.

We went for Dyson cordless (no pets) and think it's great, it is important to clean it frequently.
Previously we had a Henry but it kept falling over, banging into things, heavy on the stairs, all a bit of a chore to be honest - just acting a bit 'Royal like' I suppose.

I’ve been looking at the Henrietta, dyson about to die here too 😖

ADHDHDHDHD · 17/02/2025 21:43

Miele. Just replaced ours with EXACTLY the same model. It was 18 years old!
I prefer the bags. So much less mess when emptying. And about 3 different filters in a Miele.

wildfellhall · 18/02/2025 12:21

I just cannot go back to bags!
I really want to get one of the Dyson ball ones as it seems closest to what we have always had but I'm wondering what people thinking of the stand up Dyson ?
