  • I am not going to spend AGES agonising over decisions - I will just GET ON AND DO IT
  • I will endeavour to do ONE THING AT A TIME and not get distracted
  • I will break big things I've been putting off into SMALL CHUNKS and do them a bit at a time
  • I will give myself LITTLE REWARDS for tasks completed

Any other ideas to help me stop procrastinating and fecking GET STUFF DONE????

Yes - get off the effing computer!!

Can say this because today's my first Friday 'working' from home...

I should be working, need to do some cleaning but instead am MNing...

Ah Dottydot, welcome to the ranks of home workers. I do the Friday from home also. It's great

Ah - a common theme then, as I am also freelance & work from home! And someone has just offered me three days a week until November, and I'm:

a) delighted
b) panicked about how I will get everything else done!

(And yes - I shouldn't be on MN right now! Bye!)

Neither should I really. Ummmmmm.......

tries very hard to muster enthusiasm for doing some work

Dottydot · 09/05/2008 10:17

I'm horribly excited about it! So far today I've taken ds's to school, put some washing on, tidied bedrooms, made a coffee MNed and done 10 minutes of work - is that about the right balance..?

Pennypops · 09/05/2008 10:18

Soounds ideal to me.

Dottydot · 09/05/2008 10:19

Fab, because this afternoon I plan to go looking at kitchens, cleaning the bathroom, hoovering and doing another 10 minutes of work

Pennypops · 09/05/2008 10:21

Your day has got off to a much beter start than mine. I took ds to nursery and managed to prang my dh's car on the way back

Dottydot · 09/05/2008 10:23

oops! It was quite a treat taking the boys - bit scary in the playground though 'cos I don't really know many of the other Mums.
