Stripped hob rings

My cleaner kindly has stripped the metal off off all my gas hob rings with some insane abrasive stuff and left them soaking for hours. Apart from replacing at only 1 years old - is there anything I can apply to make them look less awful ? Thanks in advance.

Hi
Yes I appreciate they're still metal. They were silver before and now as you can see, black and grey. She used Hob Pride but I cannot see if it's only suitable for ceramic hobs and there is nothing online. It's AEg and £30 per piece x 6

If only one year old I'd get back to the manufacturer and ask very nicely if they could help you. Say that you are disappointed with their product and would expect the finish to withstand normal cleaning (i know you said she overdid it) with an appropriate cleaner.

Have been successful with this approach Even with toilet seat fittings that would have been £45, On looking to buy new ones saw they had changed the material. In fact, google your make and model of cooker, there are probably others annoyed at this happening,

This is a good idea op. Does your cleaner have insurance? That might be something else to explore.

Are you quite sure it's Hob Pride and not Oven Pride? I cannot see how Hob Pride could do that to your cooker, Oven Pride is another story altogether. It's a good product at cleaning ovens, but oh the stories people have said over the years about how it damaged floors, sinks, countertops, fronts of doors, in fact anywhere it was spilled.

Isn't that just where the gas has been on and burnt the inside of the hob rings? I'm sure if I went and photographed mine that's what they would look like. The black I mean.
Honestly I can't see what the issue is....the middle circle just looks clean.
