Do The White Company diffusers actually scent a room?

If you have any experience of them, do they in your opinion work?

I am fed up of diffusers that don't smell but before I spend £30 on one I would value other opinions

I have yet to discover ANY diffuser that actually scents an entire room

Molton Brown does a whole room. Orange and Bergamot. But an electric WC diffuser will do it nicely and is one time investment.

The diffuser itself is fine. But I think using your own combination of essential oils is more effective than White Company ones. Though a friend did comment on how nice my room smelled ( which was amazing given I have two Labradors)

Screamingabdabz · 07/02/2025 19:06

If it’s one of those electric ones - yes it does. If you’re talking about the reed diffusers, they’re all pathetic but annoyingly the WC ones are better than most.

The electric one where you add drops to water definitely does. I actually find the scent too strong if I put more than 2 drops in.

Yes I'm referring to a reed diffuser.

I use their diffuser oils in an electric one and while they're lovely while they're on they disappear too fast.

I have a reed diffuser from Hunter Jones in rye. I think its definitely stronger than other reed diffusers I've had (although i havent had a white company one) and it's still noticeable 3 months after I started it. Not much cheaper than white company though.
DD has the electric diffuser in her room at uni and I definitely noticed it when we last visited

Hi,
The best one I have had is the St Eval brand, the Rosemary and Bay scent is amazing and does scent a whole room (bedroom size). I tried Joe Malone for a treat and had two Rose diffusers in a large room and still couldn’t smell them. I do like WC but at the moment St Eval are my favourite.

What does the bay and rosemary smell like . I'm tempted to order one of these, as I've seen them recommended before. I don't like floral or fruity though.

candlesgalore · 11/02/2025 07:01

The bay and rosemary smells so fresh, you can smell the herbs. I have a diffuser in a bedroom and every time I open the door the lovely aroma is released! I have a candle in the same fragrance. I will buy again as it smells clean rather than a synthetic nice smell.

I was given an autumn reed diffuser from the White Company and couldnt smell anything at all (in a small room).

Stoneglow are good, but hit and miss. Funnily enough the one that you can smell is Tesco own brand Jasmine. It doesn’t smell like Jasmine but it does smell nice.
