thinking of buying a Roomba

I've seen budget roombas for about £150 that i want to use on my ground floor. It only has the kitchen and hallway (there's too much lego in the rest of the house to use it upstairs!) But my kitchen does get very crumby/lots of random dust.

I also have the worst textured tiles ever that trap every piece of dirt.

Would a roomba help with this? I know I would need to hoover still generally

Ours is a lazy little git ( Euvi) sp

I keep getting a fault message through the alexa , it will be "stuck" but when I go to rescue it, I'll find it just sitting under the bed , in an empty space

It also declares it is finished but hasn't bothered to pick up sock fluff
I check the dust compartment and filer and DH fitted a new roller and twirly brush .

He sets it off on its cycle and declares how marvellous it is , but I go in with the Shark Stratos and pick up an obscene amount of dust /cat hair .
I think dark thought about the robot vac and never stand at the top of the stairs when it's on the prowl.
Too many sci-fi horror films

Mine's pretty effective when it isn't hiding under the bed. Lazy so and so. Sometimes I feel like a Victorian mill owner putting it back to work.

Can I please state the obvious ( as with any gadget) - turn it on for it to work!🤭

Effy, became semi retired as I removed set schedules from the iPad. (had forgotten to lift the legs of one bedroom chair that he gets stuck under and couldn't be bothered to go and lift it!).

This set schedules reduced and reduced ( he needed emptying, turn him off for today).

His semi retirement has progressed. He lives a beautifully peaceful retired life, tucked into his docking station in the bedroom.
