Hi could you please advise me on the following:
I currently have an old style dyson (corded) which has amazing suction but I is very heavy and i am moving into a 2 storey so need something lightweight but i don't have €800 to spend.
Which hoover has great suction, is lightweight, decent battery life, and is less than €300 please!
Thank you!!!

I’ve had Dysons, Sharks, GTechs, Hoovers, Vaxes….by far the best of them all is Henry. He’s corded but has excellent suction and is indestructible.

I had a Henry and hated it - awkward to use and store, plus the fabled suction didn’t actually equate to cleaning power. Bought a dyson and couldn’t believe how much dust it picked up from the just Henry’d carpet.

Sorry op, no advice on what to buy but I honestly wouldn’t have a Henry even if I was given one free.

Miele is often recommended on here you can get refurbished on eBay

Personally I like the two hoover approach one up one down if you can just make sure the one down has a long enough cord to do stairs

If you do get a henry get a refurbished old one from before EU regs changed them

Henry corded isn't lightweight although the suction is the best I've encountered.

Henry/Hetty Quick is pretty good though - not quite as powerful as the normal Henry but incredibly lightweight and nimble. I absolutely love ours. Even when it tells me the battery is about to run out I can get a couple of rooms done quickly. Also much less faff to go and get it if you've spilled something.

I love my Henry. The only disadvantages I can think of are the weight, and it would be better to have tools that clip on.
The suction is great and I can use it outside to clean the car interior, which isn't possible with a battery one.
