Bathroom cleaners to avoid soap scum recommendations

Over the last couple of years our current bath has been a nightmare to try and keep clean, no matter how hard I press I haven't been able to remove soap scum totally. Could be the bath itself, as I've never had this problem in 26 years of home ownership.

Anyway, having a new bathroom installed this week. Determined to avoid soap scum again and wondering what bathroom cleaners could recommend (please).

Do you live in a hard water area ? If so use white vinegar in your standard cleaning fluid

Viakal is pretty decent.

If you have a shower over the bath, would product like Method have for post-shower cleaning (you just squirt and leave) be worth a go?

Thanks for your replies. Yes, we do live in a hard water area. Will look at and buy one of your suggestions. I'd still want to clean properly every week, but spraying something over the area is a good idea - we're having a shower over the bath and fitted screen (always had a shower curtain before), so it'll be harder to keep lean over and clean.

I like Viakal and Flash bathroom cleaner for this.

I tried some of that Method shower spray that you use after the shower and it did nothing at all. Except smell absolutely awful (not a fan of most of the smells of Method products).
