I'm looking to buy a cordless hoover. We have a Miele plug in but looking for something that I can quickly use without having to keep plugging it in etc. Not looking to use it for the whole house just hoover up little crumbs etc so not looking to spend a lot. Recommendations please 🙏🏼

I absolutely lovely my Dyson. The v15 or above have the best suction.
My mum has an old v8 and it's crap.

We have a Samsung which is very lightweight. Only drawback is it vacuums so much dust and hair we have to empty it every time and clean the filter very frequently. I like it despite this.

I only really wanted a cordless vacuum for the car but ended up with a Vax Blade 4. It’s really great on the twist carpet because of the rotating brush but it doesn’t have that woah, where’d the curtain go? suction of my old, mains powered Miele.

In my opinion it’s worth getting two batteries (edit to add maybe not, if it’s just for crumbs)

Just putting in a very cheeky placemark OP Wink

My Dyson broke last week, only had it 3 years, just bought a £40 cordless from middle aisle at Aldi, suction is as strong as Dyson. Will let you know if it’s still going strong in 3 years. 😂

I just bought a Dyson v10 cyclone (on sale) - its amazing and such a huge improvement on my shark

We have a Vax pet hair one and I really like it. You can remove the battery to charge it, which used to really irritate me about the Dyson because we didn’t have a useful storage place near a power point.

We have sharks and they are much better than our previous Dysons . Recently bought the one that self empties and it’s really good , had it for a few weeks and haven’t needed to empty the dust container yet .

That's worth knowing, thank you. We don't have a lot of space either and whilst DDog isn't particularly hairy those Dog Hairs do tend to get everywhere...

@TinyMouseTheatre we don’t even have pets, but my hair gets everywhere and drives BH bonkers.

Lorrymum · 26/01/2025 20:53

I have just replaced my Dyson (hated it) with a Bosch Unlimited Series 6. I love it, sturdy and powerful and unlike my Dyson doesn't stop every 5 minutes, spluttering and refusing to work!

Also have a long haired DD so I can understand where you're coming from Wink

We have a Miele plug in too, but also have a Shark cordless which I love. DH prefers the Miele.
