How do you get rid of cannabis smells?

My neighbour must smoke tonnes of cannabis, the smell comes into my house, its awful, the whole of my upstairs stinks and i get terrible headaches from it. Ive tried reporting it to various places and just get past from pillar to post, its driving me insane. Any help please??TIA

Anyway as pp said you need an air purifier OP. Anything else just masks smells temporarily.

Not true - yes weed can trigger psychosis but in the smoker not 3rd hand smelling.

Is it definitely them smoking it not growing it ?

I was next door to someone growing and it absolutely stank my house out. I got on with the neighbour so rather than report it, I just asked him outright if that's what he was doing and told him it was really bothering me. I also said it was being commented on by people visiting my house. He got better ventilation then and it improved.

I wouldn't be using tons of air fresheners and wax melts. Really bad for your health.

Sympathies OP - it's a horrible smell and unfortunately there's very little that can be done about it. People will insist it's not an bad smell, and car exhausts smell worse (ok? They're not parked up against my windows), alcohol is more dangerous (I don't care how dangerous it is to the smoker, I care about the smell - if wine stank to the point I could smell it through my walls I'd have an issue with that too, and conversely if weed didn't smell and give off smoke I wouldn't care if my neighbours smoked it 24/7), but if you hate the smell and live next door to it, it's really unpleasant. These threads really give lie to the view that all weed smokers are chilled out, they get very tetchy when people don't like the smell.

Thank you. I agree completely the smell is awful, i dont care if people smoke it at all but i dont want to suffer the smells and the headaches from it, and would feel exactly the same if it was any kind of legal smell too. Ive ordered an air purifier so hopefully this will work 🤞🏼🤞🏼

This is true, you wouldn't believe some of the things I decided upon entirely due to absorbing second hand smoke in the House of Commons dining rooms.

@Chersfrozenface 😂 theyre practically remodelling down stairs, everything is being overlooked by the girls dad, hes let me in to see progress, strangely when dad is due to come up for work on the house the smell stops until hes gone. We do want to mention the smells to see how/if he reacts but i also dont want to make enemies with someone i'll have to be neighbours with for a long time. Plus im a chicken and dont like confrontation 🙈

You'll have to screenshot the part that says third hand cannabis smoke can cause psychosis and disability. There's some mention of second hand smoke - of course hot boxing can make you stoned. You don't have to directly inhale it, no. But particle residues causing disability I still see no evidence of.

A friend had a dealer living opposite her, the smell was foul but one day his house caught fire (by accident!). The whiff was incredible for a few hours. He moved elsewhere.

I'm pretty sure skunk is a type of cannabis and definitely 'real cannabis'.

It does stink though, much stronger than other strains of the same plant.

if the smell was that strong and continuous I would worry they were growing a crop and that is really dangerous- serious risk of fire and devastating damage to the house from damp etc
