Need a laugh at Purdy & Figg

I just saw an advert from Purdy & Figg that said "do you want cleaning your home to feel like a spa day?" 😂😂😂

I mean, I get that they have nice fragrances, but seriously?!

I cannot stand those ads. Even the name is sickly twee. ‘Purdy and Figg’ 🤢🤢 apparently the products are good but can’t bring myself to try them 😆

Dearg · 12/01/2025 19:24

😂😂I fell for the hype. It’s nice, but the closest it comes to a spa day is me wiping the surfaces in my bathrobe 🙄

HomeCookingWannabe · 12/01/2025 19:25

@MassiveSalad22 And they are filmed in the world's biggest kitchen too, like anyone with that much money is doing their own cleaning!

That makes me think you use the products on yourself. Ick!

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 12/01/2025 19:30

My Facebook reels are full of adverts for them. I just imagine them smelling overly floral or like cinnamon for some reason and 🤢

OhMyGiddyAunt · 12/01/2025 19:34

Are they in on a massive advertising push at the moment as my Insta and fb feed is full of their ads, although not the spa day one .

I have been tempted .... do the products actually clean though? Or just smell clean and nice?

HomeCookingWannabe · 12/01/2025 19:35

@OhMyGiddyAunt Not a clue, i'm saving my spa day for my birthday later this year, so not bought any cleaning products yet ;)

I'm sure there was a thread on here yesterday. General consensus was they smelt good for a few minutes, but were rubbish at cleaning anything.

stargirl1701 · 12/01/2025 19:38

I couldn't get past the advertising suggesting they might be a good Christmas present!

GrantMitchell · 12/01/2025 19:41

P&F make me come over really snobbish in a way normal cheap cleaning stuff would never do.

The “real people” in their social media adverts seem so middle-class basic that it puts me off using the same products as them. Range Rover Evoque of cleaning products.

Limth · 12/01/2025 19:47

I just bought some after smelling them at the salon where I get my brows done.

My verdict:
They smell very nice as long as you don't dilute them too much.

The smell doesn't last very long.

They don't clean all that well so use them as supplementary for the smell.

I feel icky and basic for buying them. But, in my defence, I hadn't heard of them (not on social media) before the lady in the salon wiped around.

HomeCookingWannabe · 12/01/2025 19:48

@GrantMitchell Just laughed so loud at the RR reference

No way!

I'm definitely not going to buy any now

redalex261 · 12/01/2025 20:09

God, those adverts on utube have been doing my head in! Yummy mummies urgently exhorting me to buy the full range at 50% off ASAP and consider buying two so I can gift one for Christmas!

Agree with remarks about gigantic kitchens, Range Rovers and P&F core customers having cleaners...

Who the fuck cares about the aesthetic of their toilet cleaner bottle? Not me - fluorescent yellow Flash is just fine, chucked under the sink out of sight. If someone presented me with this gift set at Christmas I would've been very unhappy.

How much is it?
