Cleaning inside glass oven door

Have cleaned inside the oven with bicarb of soda and it looks great. I have however managed to get some trickles of the paste on the inside of the glass so can't reach it to clean. How do you clean between the two sheets of glass on an oven door?

I have done the exact same thing. I guess you have to unscrew the glass, but I haven't managed it yet...

Take the door off, there's loads of YouTube tutorials if you're not sure how to do it.

Depending on the oven it might be easier than you think. Mine just unclips

My inside glass just lifts out. Does yours do that?

You can usually take the door off and unclip the glass. I did it twice in old house - once when I'd had a slippage situation and managed to tip a dish when taking it out of the oven at the exact angle for it to slop down the slot, and again before I left. I found the hardest part putting the door back on at the end.

Before you start, get a piece of masking tape and write "this way up ^" and stick it on the front of the glass.

Undo the screws but get ready to catch the glass incase it falls out. Clean.

Be care to put it back in the correct way as there is usually a right side and wrong side on thermal glass.

(Final part based on personal experience.....proudly tell DH you were doing a man based task that required a thing from HIS toolbox, sigh quietly when DH checks you've screwed the screws back in properly 🙄😆).

(DH isn't sexist but we just like taking the piss out of each other...)

My advice would be to take the greatest of care - this comes from the heart of someone who has just broken one pane of her glass oven door....

Yes, the glass did go everywhere....
