How do you? dd has a fabric playmat that is padded and so cant go in machine, what do i use to clean?

Why can't it go in the machine, what's the problem with the padding? I've washed all our soft toys and playmats that say 'surface clean only' which as far as I can see would be pointless and impossible!

The only problem I've ever had is any squeaky bits take a little longer to dry so you get more of a wet fart sound than a squeak for a while .
Go on bung it in!!

Flibbertyjibbet · 02/05/2008 16:55

I would bung it in the washer anyway on a gentle wool cycle.
Or lay it in the bath with a bit of baby shampoo in the water and squish it about.

These things are made to stand up to wear and tear from small children so they must be washable surely?

Thanks but it won't fit in machine, stupid mamas&papas thing a friend brought, I personally think it should be illegal to sell any baby product that cant be machine washed, I'll try it in the bath if i can get the stupid electroic bit that plays pop goes the weasle out!!!
