I have two (not this sofa but I think the same colour) - walls are cream, curtains cream.....

Would prefer something darkish as our cream one has been trashed in a year.

Thanks !

You could have any colour you liked with that combination surely? We have various patterned ones that DH has brought back from his travels. With 'neutral' walls and furniture, I like the splash of colour. DO you have a carpet, or wood floors?

the cotswold company do nice rugs, not cheap but good quality. we have 2 of the colour block design still in good condition after 5 years

We have wooden floors Madonna - You probably could put most things wiht it - we were thinking reddish but not sure if the sofas are too orangey (not sure hte website piccie shows it that well or if in fact that is the same colour as ours but its near enough).

LK - thanks for that, I have been going through the same websites over and over looking at the same rugs so nice to see something different !

burgundy or duck-egg blue

or an olive green colour.

I have been trying to persuade DH into teal - my only worry is that everything might show up on a teal rug as it does on a cream one.

Just jumping in on this thread abit, sorry, but how do you all clean your rugs? I had a lovely quite expensive thick creamy coloured rug which i kept hoovered regularly and once or twice i steam cleaned it. I didn't find the steam cleaning very effective really as all it does is kind of soak it in boiling water! So in the end it looked and smelt quite horrible so i sent it to the dump. Now i want a new one as the floor looks so bare, but worried about future cleaning....any ideas??
