Nik2879 · 26/12/2024 08:05

My hoover broke the day before Christmas eve, worse time ever. Got a shark cordless had it about 7 years got a 4 year old so do
a quick hoover most days.
On the look out for a new one. Any recommendations ?
Thinking maybe a plug in this time if they’re better. The only one I dont want is a henry as taking it upstairs would do my head in, to big.
Would appreciate any help. Thanks.

Miele. Mines going strong after 15 years. Long cord too. As it's older it has a higher powered motor but I think the newer ones are still pretty powerful.

I don't have the rotating brush bar (I think part of the cat and dog one) which I believe is even better.

Miele, any of them

My oldest is over nearly 30 years old and my newest is nearly 20 years old, cat and dog version

Try to get a reconditioned one from ebay which are the 2000w motors, the EU changed the rules some time ago and now they're lower powered but Im not sure if that means they're not as effective

Miele. Superior to anything else have ever tried.

I have a Miele plug in (still going strong after 12 years) and have just bought a shark cordless. It is so much easier for a quick whizz round than a plug in. The Miele does seem fairly indestructible in fairness - we've used it for hoovering up brick and plaster dust with no issues, but having to unplug -replug as I move round the house is a bit annoying in comparison with the cordless.

Miele. I have the Cat and Dog one. The turbo brush is excellent.

Miele

Miele cat and dog. With the turbo brush - I have 2, just in case 1 dies.

Same here. But use one up and one down. Also have a set of Eufy robots as well as x2 X9 Pro for easy vac and mop.

Get a Henry.

The best vacuum cleaner I have ever owned.
