Laundry detergent

Am I the only one who can't stand laundry powders/ liquids/ pods etc that don't produce foam up . I feel like they aren't doing a proper wash . Am I alone on this ?

foam doesn’t mean it’s doing anything extra
just like with shampoos or body washes

I don’t think my detergent foams much but I’m in a hard water area and I think that’s the issue

I’ve never had one that’s frothed but I can’t say I sit watching my washing machine, either.

I think powder is the answer if you are concerned about 'a proper wash' using bio if you want to break down stains, fats or proteins. The foaming, scents etc are just to make them seem effective or to appeal to people who care about such things rather than cleaning more effectively.
