Vacuum excitement

Allow me the sarcasm if you will.

I'm naturally thrilled to be able to afford a new vacuum cleaner but the budget is £100. Requirements,ideally, are:

1. Not sounding like a middle aged (I.e. me) death metal band
2. Doesn't catch fire if it eats a sock glares at teenagers
3. Picks up dirt instead of making oh so pretty dust patterns on the floor.
4. A decent length of cable
5. A short enough hose to poke a stick down it see aforementioned socks.

Vax air stretch - socks are tackled with ease, they.end up clogging the dust canister, but easily removed. Lightweight and great suction.
