Can I put trainers in the washing machine?

if so what prog? temp? any tips?

Put them in a pillow case and clip it shut. 40 degree normal wash. Fill them with newspaper and put them in the airing cupboard to dry.

If they really need a wash then I would risk it. Tie in pillowcase (or mesh laundry bag). Wash alone or with an old towel or similar as it helps to "balance" the machine.

Wool cycle.

Delicates detergent.

Remove immediately after wash. Stuff with sock or similar to help regain shape. Dry in a warm place (not right on top of radiator)

Also if caked in mud or similar brush this off or wipe over with damp cloth or kitchen roll before putting in machine.

Whatever you do, don't put them on a 90 degree wash
I accidently did that to my sisters trainers many years ago, they were completely ruined.
40 degrees will be fine.
