Goose down duvet

I treated myself to a goose down/feather duvet recently but when it arrived it absolutely reeked! I know duck down/feather duvets are more likely to smell which is why I chose goose even though it's more expensive. I have been airing out the duvet and the smell has died down now but when I sniff the duvet there is still the scent of what smells like greasy hair. It's been a week now - I was hoping the duvet would smell of nothing (like many of the reviews said it would). Should I return it or is this normal?

I have a goose down duvet and it stunk but the smell faded.

Thanks! Maybe I'll hold on to it in that case.
