Hi , my washing machine just packed up with load inside , and not draining. If I have to buy( will see what the engineer can do) I sm looking at Samsung series 7 AI , 9 kg, Samsung Series 8 Ai or Bosch 9 kg . We are family of 2 adults and 2 teenagers ( not very sporty ) . Not looking for integrated machine . Any feedback on these or other models will be useful , thanks.

Just to start with the basics, have you opened the manual drain? Hair pins clipped into cross can hold quite a lot of fluff and stuff. A drain blocking amount, in fact.

Thanks. I will have a look and keep you posted here.

I have a Samsung series 5 12kg. It's the best machine we've ever had (family of 5) so I would recommend samsung.
I second the pp, check your drain/filter to see if it's blocked. I had the same problem years ago, the filter was completely clogged with tiny baby socks! I now check and clean it every month.

We have a Bosch series 4 I think. Have it 3 years now and it’s great. Got matching dryer a couple of weeks ago ago.
Do check the drain though as I thought mine was goner recently but it was full of bits from ds not emptying his work trousers properly.

Thank you to you all. We got the drain/ filter checked , and looks like they are ok . I was told it may be motor/ pump problem! We have an engineer coming to have a loo . Will decide then whether need to replace. It is very frustrating to happen at this time of the year !!!!( not that there is any good time for machine to go on the blink 🥺)
