Help! What’s this in my washing machine?

We found one of these in the wash, and then another, and now a third!

At first I thought it was part of a toy in the machine by mistake, but three times feels like it’s a part from inside (which obviously now fills me with dread we will have to replace another machine!!)

Google image reverse suggests sanding pads. Lots of similar ones with similar patterns.

Thanks I did see these but thought they looked a little different, but maybe you’re right. But not sure these would’ve got in, husband is a builder and I’m sure he’d recognise if they came off one of his jobs!

Isn't the drum a sealed unit? How would it get in unless it's in a pocket?

That’s what I’m thinking too, it can’t be coming from the machine!? Unless my kids are bringing them home from school in their pockets..!

I would be very careful in checking all of HIS pockets on everything. When you find another, read him the riot act about not emptying his pockets. Ask him how he is going to pay for a new machine when this lot clogs it up

It looks exactly like the spots on our non slip bath mat. They have come off over time and have exactly that appearance underneath. Do you have one of those?

If you change it to a b/w photo so concentrate on the shape you get lots of options for bits of cars

Realised they’ve only appeared when I’ve done the kids’ washing so yes, must be from their pockets
