HELP! Lily pollen stains!

On the beautiful new white quartz worktop 😭 we’ve been SO careful with cooking so as not to stain the worktops but we didn’t think about pollen…!

I’ve got most of it off the worktop (bright orange pollen!) but it’s settled into the silicone sealant which is now noticeably yellow. What on earth can I do to get rid of it? Please help 😖

Ask a specialist, like Rotherham’s. Might need to have seal removed and replaced.

This happened on my brother's new cream carpet. He tried a variety of products on an off cut stained with the pollen and I'm pretty sure it was Viakal limescale remover that got rid of it!

Can't help with the pollen stain removal, sorry, but I hope you find a way to get it out!

I actually just wanted to pipe up here (like I do anywhere I see mention of lilies) in case anyone doesn't know - do not ever have them in the house if you have a cat/cats! Lilium are deadly toxic to cats, even if they just happen to accidentally brush against them and then lick their fur to groom off the pollen.

Rubbing alcohol gets stains out of quartz. You could try hand sanitiser.

For the silicone, I'd try bleach or if that doesn't work, cut it out and re silicone it.

I had this with Carrara marble. Bicarb made into a paste with water and gently worked in a circular motion did it for me. Might be worth a try.
