Please find me a hoover

Had a Dyson cordless which I’ve not been overly impressed with and battery is now rapidly dying. It’s been good on hard floors but has never properly picked up on carpets and now is almost completely useless.

DH wants to get another cordless Hoover but I think they’re just not good enough. I’m happy to go back to corded but would prefer bagless if possible. Budget of £250 and want to get a Black Friday bargain if possible! Any recommendations please?

(4 bed house, carpets upstairs hard floors downstairs, 4 women in the house with long hair but no pets!)

It's not bagless but the Miele C3 is awesome. We have the Cat & Dog version. I had a crap hoover before and I could not love this one more.

Miele c3. I have deep deep love for this appliance.

Shark all the way. Best hoover I have ever had hands down (we used to have a cordless Dyson and it was crap).

I highly recommend the Dyson v11 advanced. I had the v10 total clean and wasn’t great on carpets in the end and the filter needed to cleaned every week. This new one has a lot more power to it. It hasn’t needed to have the filter cleaned on it and have been using it for a couple of months. The battery allows me to clean a large 3 bed house in one go.

I bought a new Dyson battery from Amazon. Fitted it myself.

Henry quick or Henry cordless.

HPandthelastwish · 29/11/2024 22:46

Henry they are workhorses and never let you down.

lordmadresfield · 29/11/2024 22:48

Henry is a bit unwieldy to use but nothing comes close for suction and endurance.

cushionfiend · 29/11/2024 22:58

I bought a Shark before the Miele C3, after reading the hype. It was absolutely the worst vacuum cleaner I've ever used. I ended up giving it away online, a few months after buying it, and then bought the Miele, which luckily did live up to its hype!

tougholdbirdy · 29/11/2024 23:02

Another vote for Henry. I've had mine for 20 years and it had never let me down. There is a reason why Henry's are used by office cleaners, builders and other trades people.

Crispynoodle · 29/11/2024 23:20

I love my shark lift away

We have a liftaway, which is fantastic.

If we didn't have a Shark, we would have a Henry. Every single.Dyson product I have had has been disappointing, and DH won't allow them in the house anyway (he calls the rubbish stick one we had the 'Brecit hoover'l
