Ex partner smoked weed in house... landlord to do work in property

I was in a very abusive relationship and he left a year ago after he found a new supply.

I would often wake up during the night or come home after being out to find him smoking weed in the house. We would have a lot of arguments about it but he would say as he's paying the rent (he wasn't I was) then he would do as he liked. I hide it from family and friends as I was embarrassed and ashamed.

I've rented the same property from a family friend for the last 12 years. There is now a big issue with pipes and boiler they are having to replace it. I've not slept for a week or ate thinking the landlord might smell something or spot something and think it was me and possibly kick me out with the children. There has been been no smoking for a year but I sometimes get a swiff if it's really wet outside or really windy. I've cleaned every room top to bottom for the last year.
What should I do?

Firstly, well done for getting out of that relationship. Secondly, wash any fabrics you reasonably can - curtains, rugs etc. Febreze what you cannt wash. Keep the house clean. There is nothing else you can do. I repeat, well done for moving on!
