Is anyone else’s Roomba just a bit shit?

We’ve had ours for a few years and it trundles about quite merrily but has never been able to clean anything other than carpet with a very short pile. It can’t cope with the medium-pile area rug in our sitting room and I’m not wowed by its efforts on the hardwood kitchen floor either. I set it off today in the sitting room and ended up going over it all again with the proper hoover. If there’s a loose cotton thread on the floor or the kids have left scraps of paper etc after craft, it trundles around quite positively but then leaves them all behind.

Had a shite Roomba years ago.

Now I have a Eufy I got this October and I’ve been massively impressed by how effective it is!

Mine sometimes just moves the dust about but then I realise it is quite full and needs emptying. Then it’s okay again. It gets stuck far too often though and also needs propping up on its charger or it refuses to charge. It’s not as good as it should be but I’m still quite fond of it.

I have no idea what mine is but it's a useless little crock of shit . No matter how often I clean the filter/dust cannister/roller it will sail under the bed and the Alexa shouts your robot vac is stuck or Error-roller stuck

And when it does work it manages to faff about over the fluff from DH socks or the cats fur , totally missing it .
