I have an Aga TC3, the control panel of which has failed. The cost to repair is £4,500+, but the real kicker punch is that if, when that repair is made, the engineer discovers that there is no divider plate under the hobs (as is the case with early models), it will need to have a divider kit fitted. This comes at a further cost of approximately £2,000, so a combined cost to repair that is more than half what I originally paid. The Aga is out of guarantee and I am gunning for AgaRangemaster, who have shrugged their shoulders. Has anyone had any similar experience of the TC3 (or TC5)? There is plentiful anecdotal evidence online but I'm looking for something concrete that shows what seems to me abundantly clear, and that is that this range cooker was never fit for purpose.
