Accidentally left product on shower head

Yesterday I sprayed cleaning disinfectant spray on my rain fall shower head (on the bit the water comes out)

I forgot about it and have been out all day and now want to have a shower.

I’m scared it’s not safe and when I run the water I’ll get chemicals on me and my hair etc

for context it is a spray called Ineos multi room disinfectant spray with rhubarb

Run cold water for a few mins, then use a wet cloth and wipe over the head. It'll be fine.

Well just rinse it off before you shower then.

How do you normally get rid of it before you shower?

ComtesseDeSpair · 29/10/2024 18:52

Honestly, you’ll be fine. I clean the bath and shower whilst I’m actually in it, so I pretty much wash myself with neat Cillit Bang once a week. Ineos is a very dilute disinfecting product, it’s no more harmful than washing your hands with an antibacterial hand wash, and a splash even more diluted with water from the attachment will be a minuscule amount.

It will be very clean

Pickandmixmood · 29/10/2024 18:56

Do you have OCD or Health Anxiety OP as it seems strange to be concerned about this

dermalermalurd · 29/10/2024 18:58

That sounds like a bizarre anxiety over a non event. Do you struggle with anxiety normally? You'll be fine, by the way. All the best.

HecatesBees · 29/10/2024 19:29

What do you do when you normally clean the shower, do you ......rinse?

HarrietSchulenberg · 29/10/2024 19:39

Well if you use shampoo, soap and conditioner you'll be getting chemicals on you anyway. Just wipe the showerhead over before you get in and the cleaning products will be gone.

Howway man, divvent be so daft.

Wipe the shower head or run the shower for a couple of minutes if you're that worried.
