Disappointing deep clean

I had a deep clean done last Friday. They said they estimated 6 hours (3 hours with 2 cleaners) as a minimum and I said that's fine but we want a complete job so longer is okay as long as it's done.

They didn't complete the job. Got home on Friday to find cobwebs, dirt, dust, and even loads debris on a chair that wasn't there when we left the house that morning (can only think vacuum explosion?).

What should I do in this situation? They did work the full amount of time but said they 'ran out of time' as had another client so had to go before they finished. I'm very unhappy about this as it was supposed to be a full deep clean, and we had arranged for a minimum of 3 hours - I'd make it very clear I was looking for a complete job. They have asked for the full amount of money. Should I just pay it (as I'm paying for the hours actually worked) or expect a discount (as I didn't get the service I requested - my house is not fully clean, and they left a mess on a living room chair)? Not sure what to do here. Thanks.

Sounds disappointing. They should have messaged you acknowledging what they had to leave undone and saying when they could come back to finish it. You're entitled to complain about how they left the job and the vacuum debris on the chair. Do you want them to come back and finish it? I'd probably pay them off and get someone else to do the rest of the clean as they don't seem very professional.

Did you take pictures of the mess and things which weren't done? I would message and say you were disappointed with the standard due to xyz (pics attached). Ask what they can do to put it right and go from there. Maybe offer to pay half and the rest on completion? But be polite and factual.

Thank you. I did and they were (eventually) apologetic, although they never did explain why they booked another client for then when they'd told me it would take 'minimum' three hours and I'd confirmed with them they'd do the complete job. They have offered to come back to finish it, but actually I think I'm just going to pay then for what they've done and let it go. Really quite cross though! Thank you for your help.

And yes, I took loads of pictures and sent them too them. They just replied saying they didn't have time to do that.
